Wise Adult Skills is a 6-week online course that empowers you to be more accountable, more self-aware and more accepting of yourself (and of others). Over several weeks, you’ll learn how to witness your own mind, regulate your emotions, establish personal boundaries, protect your peace and take better care of your well-being. Throughout guided exercises, we’ll explore and nurture Wise Adult skills such as self-witnessing, self-acceptance and the strength to set healthy boundaries.
Arranged to gently guide you through self-discovery, self-reflection and exploration of the inner psyche, this growth-oriented self-help course teaches you how to accept your imperfections, love yourself, understand yourself and trust yourself. By helping you recognize your inherent worth and develop a deeper understanding of how the brain works, it provides you with the tools you need to live life intentionally with purpose, kindness, compassion and meaningful connection.
If you feel like you're still finding your footing in adulthood, this course is for you. If you feel like you're not good enough or you have to be perfect to please other people, this course is for you. If you take things too personally or aren't using a filter when you speak, this course is for you. If you find it difficult to say no, ask for help, express your needs, prioritize self-care or practice patience, this course is for you.
Each class has 60-75 minutes of formal lecture and handouts, then 15-30 min for participant questions. Participants are invited to send questions in between classes and will be given a recorded mp3 of the lectures each week, for future personal review.
