This class is for anyone who has times where you feel like you're not quite a full grown-up. Who struggles with your sense of self-worth, or it seems like your self worth is based on whether other people are happy with you or not. Who has issues with keeping personal boundaries and you either take things too personally or you aren't using a filter when you speak. And you struggle with feeling you need to be good/perfect or that you aren't good enough. And you have trouble doing good self-care or asking for help when you need it. And you have trouble saying no; and/or you have issues with self-control or controlling others.
All of these are emotional maturity issues. And all of these can be developed by building your Wise Adult skills.

The term Wise Adult Self refers to being in a place of emotional maturity and not in a triggered or “flipped lid” state of threat response. We are being our wise adult selves when we remember we all have inherent worth, we are using good boundaries, we are self-aware and accountable, we are doing good self-care, and utilizing moderation.

Each class has 60-75 minutes of formal lecture and handouts, then 15-30 min for participant questions. Participants are invited to send questions in between classes and will be given a recorded mp3 of the lectures each week, for future personal review.
