The Reclaiming Your Power Family of Origin Intensive workshop is a 3-day intensive that helps you understand the origins of adult relational problems. This workshop is based on “Survivors” which is offered at The Meadows and was created by Pia Mellody as a groundbreaking way to heal relational and developmental trauma. In this experiential workshop, we explore your history to help you address early experiences and patterns that cause difficulty in current adult relationships. Issues of self-worth, boundaries, codependency and self-care can be addressed when you understand and heal the origins. This is not about blaming your parents but about taking responsibility for your own healing process and reclaiming your personal power. Participants will learn to identify and heal their own patterns and how to develop healthy coping and relational skills.
I recommend that you start by:

2) Discuss with your current therapist about how this work might fit into your healing plan.
3) Review the Developmental History Assessment Form to see if this is the kind of material you feel ready to explore.
If all of this seems like a good fit, I invite you to complete the application below; I prefer to work with individuals who have done work with a Pia Mellody trained therapist (or equivalent) and I may want to consult with your therapist prior to the intensive. I also recommend attending the Wise Adult Skills Class prior to participating in an intensive, but that is not a requirement. This workshop is not a replacement for therapy; it is an educational and experiential weekend designed to support you in your healing process.
